A spectacularly warm Sunday (for the time of year) saw Bridlington Bay Archers play the 'Dice or Die' game. This starts by the role of a large die, with the usual numbers from one to six substituted with a colour from the face or an imperial target - gold, red, blue, black and white.
The die is rolled and whatever colour lands face upwards is the one that the archer - with an initial six arrows - has to hit. So if the colour is blue then one tries to get as many arrows in the blue as possible because any arrows that miss are removed from the quiver. Then the die is rolled again and a new colour is selected, which one tries to hit with however many arrows are left from the first round. The archer is out of the game when all arrows are removed from the quiver. The winning archer is the one that remains with an arrow left to shoot.
One the day Lee Brewin, Roger Bennett and Chris Langley all won games, with Lee winning an additional two, making him overall winner. Olivia Harding did best from the junior section.
In the photo we have Susan and Roger Bennett who were awarded achievement badges they earned last autumn.
